A Siteimprove alternative for development teams
Siteimprove is a broad content platform in which accessibility is one module alongside SEO, content and analytics, backed by human specialists. Accessibility Pro does one thing: it scans websites against WCAG 2.2 and hands developers tested fixes, in the pull request. This page compares them using what Siteimprove publishes on its own website, as it read on 2026-09-13.
| Aspect | Siteimprove, per its website | Accessibility Pro |
|---|---|---|
| Scope | A platform uniting accessibility, search (SEO and AEO), content strategy and analytics. | Accessibility only: WCAG 2.2 scanning, verified code fixes and compliance reporting. |
| Channels | Web, documents, social, apps and PDFs, with image and PDF remediation agents. | Web pages and web applications. |
| Code fixes | A Website Remediation Agent that gives code suggestions. | Copy-as-PR diffs that are re-scanned in a sandbox before they are offered. |
| Developer workflow | Agents work from VS Code, Claude Code, Figma and CI/CD, through an MCP server. | A GitHub Action on every pull request with a sticky comment and SARIF output. |
| Human expertise | Manual audits and VPATs by certified accessibility specialists. | Automated only. Reports name the criteria that need a person. |
| Pricing | Not published; demo on request. | Published: free plan, then EUR 49, 249 or 899 a month. |
Where Siteimprove covers more
If you need accessibility, SEO and content governance in one contract, PDF and document remediation, or manual audits and VPATs written by certified specialists, Siteimprove offers those and Accessibility Pro does not. Both agree on the limits of automation: Siteimprove's accessibility page says no single method catches everything, and that an overlay masks issues in the browser without fixing the code underneath.
Where Accessibility Pro is built differently
- In the pull request. The GitHub Action gates merges on WCAG failures and posts one comment that updates itself.
- Fixes proven before you see them. A patch is applied to a captured copy of the page and re-scanned; it is offered as a diff only if the violation is gone and nothing new appears.
- Accuracy in public. Precision and recall are published in the benchmark and a field audit of real websites.
- Prices on the page. See pricing; no demo is needed to start.
